A Classic Yacht
Tiger Blue
34 M | 5 Cabins | 10-12 Guests
Tiger Blue is a traditional gaff-rigged Phinisi, handbuilt by master boat builders on the shore of Bira in 2008. Her red sails, blue hull and layout makes her a true beauty and evoke a sense of freedom. Combining traditional design with modern comforts, she carries five en-suite cabins for up to 12 guests and offers two generous deck levels that open to the sea. The welcoming crew, watersports equipment and 2 tenders are complementing a voyage in Komodo or Raja Ampat perfectly.
“Tiger Blue is a truly authentic example of Indonesian craftsmanship and has the perfect sense of space. The idle yacht for groups.”
Sebastian, Barefoot Yachts Indonesia
Character & Layout
On Board Tiger Blue
Life on Tiger Blue unfolds outdoors. The main deck features a large dining table, two double daybeds, and a chill-out area at the stern. This layout provides enough space for a larger group to spread out or gather without feeling crowded. On top, the sun deck adds a second layer of outdoor living, with sun loungers and open views in every direction.
The interiors are clean and warm, with the teak and ironwood construction giving the cabins a cosy atmosphere and showcase the quality of craftsmanship. Two tenders mean the crew can run separate groups simultaneously; one heading to a dive site, while another takes the kayaks through a limestone channel or goes ashore.
Accommodation
Cabins on Tiger Blue
Five en-suite cabins are arranged across two deck levels. The master cabin sits on the main deck, with a king-size bed, day bed, and a large window that brings in natural light and keeps the view close. Below deck, two superior cabins offer the most floor space on the vessel.
Each can be configured as king, twin, or triple, making them well suited to families or guests travelling in threes. Two standard cabins at the forward end of the lower deck have king-size beds and good storage. All cabins are air-conditioned with en-suite bathrooms and hot water throughout.
Water & Shore
Exploring from Tiger Blue
The dive platform and twin tenders are where most days begin. Tiger Blue carries full scuba gear and a dedicated dive master. For guests who prefer the surface, snorkelling guides accompany every session and the kayaks are perfect for exploring the anchorages.
Watersports include wakeboarding, waterskiing, and fishing outside national park boundaries. On land, the crew leads shore visits to villages, viewpoints, and, in Komodo, the dragon hiking stations at Loh Buaya and Loh Liang. Evenings might end with private beach barbecue and bonfire on a nearby beach.

Expert Insights on Tiger Blue
Barefoot’s take
When I saw Tiger Blue for the first time with her large red sails up, I immediately fell in love with her. The craftsmanship, colors and layout makes her unique and a piece of art. She works best with a group that wants to be active, social, and outside as much as possible.
