A Classic Yacht

Ta`Talasa

36 M | 3 Cabins | 6 + 2 Guests

Ta’Talasa is a 36-metre Phinisi yacht with three cabins, custom-built for exploration and scuba diving. Her layout is designed for deck-led living, with an indoor dining area, an outdoor dining space with views, and generous deck zones for lounging, briefings, and time between water sessions. A dedicated sundeck adds an extra layer of space underway and at anchor, keeping the onboard flow simple and relaxed throughout the voyage.

The name reflects her spirit. In Bugis Konjo, the word “talas” can be understood as “alive, scattered around, to be found anywhere.” In Greek mythology, Thalassa was the primordial goddess of the sea – born of chaos and personifying the sea’s unpredictable nature.

“Ta’ Talasa is ideal for exploration-minded travellers who appreciate space, comfort, and functionality.”

On Board Ta`Talasa

On board, Ta’ Talasa feels warm, calm, and purpose-built for days that revolve around the beauty of the Indonesian Archipelago. Traditional Phinisi lines and teak finishes create an understated atmosphere, while the layout keeps life simple: time on deck when the weather is inviting, and a comfortable indoor retreat for shade and cool air. The rhythm is naturally flexible—early water sessions, relaxed meals, and unhurried afternoons between island visits and sunset anchorages. With only three cabins, the experience remains intimate and well-balanced, combining a sense of space with the ease of a small-group private voyage.

Comfort after Adventure

Cabins on Ta`Talasa

Ta’ Talasa offers three cabins designed for comfort and easy living on board. The spaces feel warm and settled, with teak and sandalwood finishes complemented by soft linen materials. Large portholes bring in natural light and steady airflow at anchor, keeping the cabins bright and well ventilated. Storage is practical and well considered, with enough space to keep personal items organised on longer voyages. Beds are fitted with supportive spring mattresses, and each cabin is stocked with towels and toiletries for a convenient stay.

Food and Beverages

Culinary Experience

Food and beverages aboard Ta Talasa are timed around the day’s activities, from early departures to relaxed evenings at anchor. Fresh, locally inspired dishes are prepared on board, with menus adapted to guest preferences and dietary needs. Food and Beverages can be enjoyed in the enclosed indoor dining area, the outdoor dining space with views, or up on the sundeck—depending on the weather and mood. The overall style is shared and unforced, with refreshments available between dives, island visits, and sunset returns to the yacht.

Expert Insights on Ta`Talasa

Barefoot’s take

Voyage Planner Sebastian from Barefoot Yachts Indonesia.

The first time I stepped on board Talasa, her sense of space and the quality of the craftsmanship stood out immediately—along with the care taken in the technical details. Modern comforts and pirate spirit come together here in a way I haven’t seen elsewhere.
