A Super Yacht
Kudanil Explorer
50 M | 8 Cabins | 16 Guests
Kudanil Explorer is a converted offshore support vessel redesigned for long-range expedition cruising across Indonesia. Unlike traditional Phinisi yachts, her character is defined by scale, capability, and a more industrial architectural language, with expansive deck areas and a layout built to support extended time at sea. She is particularly well-suited to guests looking for a more exploratory style of travel, where comfort is balanced with range, stability, and operational flexibility.
“Kudanil suits groups who want to go further — in distance and in experience.”

Character & Design
On Board Kudanil Explorer
Steel frames and stainless portholes sit alongside polished teak, woven ceiling panels, bamboo lighting, and rope-wrapped structural supports. These details nod to classic steamship design without trying to look like something the vessel is not. The result is a distinct onboard character: grounded, tactile, and quietly industrial in the best sense.
Four deck levels give guests clear separation between activity and rest. The main deck hosts an indoor dining room, bar, library lounge, spa treatment room, and cinema. Above, guests can enjoy the 200 square meter Sky Lounge which offers 360-degree views, alfresco dining, and ample space for relaxed afternoons. At the very top, Monkey Island provides a jacuzzi and sun deck.
Accommodation
Cabins on Kudanil Explorer
Eight identical suites are located on the upper deck, each approximately 30 square metres. Every cabin can be configured as a king or twin, with three offering additional pull-out single beds for younger guests or families travelling with children. What sets the layout apart is consistency: there are no preferred or lesser cabins.
Every guest opens their balcony door to the same private outdoor space that includes a daybed, table and chairs. Interiors are calm and uncluttered, with adjustable air-conditioning, WiFi, and en-suite bathrooms throughout. Practical storage is well-considered. For a group of 16, the equal distribution of space and privacy is rare.

Activities on Kudanil Explorer
Three tenders (including an 8-metre RIB with twin 200HP engines) give the crew the flexibility to run simultaneous excursions: one group to a dive site, another by kayak through a limestone lagoon, a third to a nutmeg plantation or a village visit ashore.
The water sports equipment list is extensive: kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, wakeboards, surfboards, fishing gear, eFoils, a floating swimming pool, and two Seadoo jet skis operated by crew for safety. Full scuba gear is carried, with two fixed nitrox compressors and equipment for up to 16 divers.

Expert Insights on Senja
Barefoot’s take
Kudanil Explorer feels fundamentally different from the traditional phinisi fleet. The combination of commercial-grade capability, expansive deck space, and long-range comfort makes her particularly well suited to guests who value exploration and time at sea as much as the destinations themselves.
