Built in 1968 and comprehensively refitted by Aqua Expeditions and Cor D. Rover in 2017-2019, Aqua Blu combines the stability of a former British Naval Explorer with the contemporary design and comfort of a boutique hotel at sea. The yacht’s five decks create a natural spread of lounges, outdoor spaces, dining areas, and quieter corners, so guests can spend time ashore, in the water, or simply on board without the experience ever feeling repetitive.
This gives Aqua Blu a different atmosphere from a smaller private yacht. She feels more like a complete base for exploration across a wider part of the archipelago.

The yacht’s different indoor and outdoor areas allow that rhythm to stay varied, with meals, rest, and time on deck fitting comfortably around the wider pace of the journey.
Food on board is one of the stronger parts of the experience, with menus shaped around Indonesian influences as well as European and Mediterranean styles. Chef Benjamin Cross has crafted over 160 recipes to incorporate various Indonesia’s spices and flavors, allowing diners to go on a culinary journey of the region.
